About

Established in 2011

The Grand Rapids Dragonfish is a premier Men’s box lacrosse program that competes in the CI2L (Continental Indoor Lacrosse League), an 8 team league that competes across the midwest.

The Fish regular season runs from August through October, where we compete in 6-10 games, on various weekends, throughout those months.  Each season is concluded with a Championship Weekend, where the top four teams compete in a single elimination tournament, to determine a champion.  The Fish also compete in off-season (box & field) lacrosse tournaments to stay sharp and continue playing the sport we love.

The Dragonfish roster is made from a combination of the top talent in the Midwest and Ontario.  Our player’s prior experience levels range from Varsity High School to Collegiate, and has even had NLL players compete with us.  We hold a prospect camp prior to each season (late July-early August), as an opportunity for interested players to tryout, followed by our team training camp.

Eagles Ice Center (formerly known as Jolly Rodger) is our recently renovated Home facility, located just north of the 28th Street & Breton intersection.  The rink is a concrete surface with full boards and glass surrounding the playing surface, there are raised bleachers on the side opposite the benches and an enclosed concessions area.
